GEMMA is a professional hydraulic disc brake brand manufacturer registered in Taiwan, with in-house developing and sales teams. Main sales markets are the USA, Canada, the EU, Australia and New Zealand.
The company owns a production line and testing equipment. To ensure quality, each batch of products goes through repeated inspection, testing and debugging. That capacity is what lets us solve the rationing problem the hydraulic brake market keeps running into, and meet customers’ delivery requirements rather than re-quoting them.
All GEMMA hoses are made by Jagwire.
The brand
GEMMA focuses on the design and manufacture of precision mechanical parts. Since the 1990s its quality made it a major supplier partner to bicycle brands. After bringing precision parts into the bicycle field and concentrating on hydraulic brake systems, it became a well-known name in the industry, with a following among riders in Europe and North America.
The GA-900 and GA-1000 series were designed by the Taiwanese team around the usability considerations of electric bicycles, to produce better braking force at speed. In 2022 the range was extended with the G3 four-piston system.
